Last night I had an amazing workout that didnt end until almost 10. So when the alarm went off at 5, I was less than excited to hit the gym, I would have much rather hit the snooze and rolled over. When I go to the gym early like that, my mom goes with me. Well she was out of town this morning so I had every reason to stayed curled up. I was lying in bed staring at the ceiling debating whether to go, when the word discipline came to mind. I want to be disciplined into getting up and making a workout the start of my day, everyday.
Discipline, doesn’t just happen. You don’t wake up one day with a healthy habit formed. It was then I thought, what forms discipline? How do I reach that in my journey? The only answer I could come up with was consistency. Consistency to maintain a routine, even when you don’t want to. I am almost a month into this journey, and I haven’t missed a day at the gym, but I still wouldn’t consider myself disciplined. So I will continue, day in an day out to remind myself of the commitment I have made to be disciplined. I have to remember no matter how tired or sluggish I feel, nothing beats that feeling I get when I walk out of the gym, revived and refreshed!
Now to sleep, 5am comes early!
Here is to a happy and healthy May!
